Yolanda Foster and her estranged husband, David Foster, did their “best” to try to save their marriage, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star told Us Weekly in a statement on Tuesday, Dec.1, following their divorce news.“We are grateful for the years we've spent together and believe wholeheartedly that we did our best."Unfortunately it was not strong enough to withstand the circumstances that came our way," Yolanda said.
In a statement to ET in December, David said he was "frustrated" over headlines questioning the reality star's sickness.
The Bravo chat show host already had referenced how she had blogged that she has 'lost the ability to read, write or even watch TV because I can't process information or any stimulation for that matter' as her condition has clearly grown worse.
She spoke of traveling to South Korea for specialist treatments, saying: 'There they have the freedom to work with stem cells - you can't get those treatments here - and I think with Lyme it takes antibiotics but it also takes a lot of holistic treatment to balance it out.'But the moment that clearly pained her the most was when Cohen referred an article on the Daily Beast website in which it was suggested she may be getting the wrong treatment and may have been misdiagnosed with a 'fake disease'.'Some stranger trying to doubt what I go through doesn't mean anything to me because he's never even seen my medical files, he doesn't know what he's talking about - some a**hole saying that I'm sick doesn't mean anything,' she said.
But, David is someone who travels constantly and Yolanda became ill just one year into the marriage.
It was a lot."Not to mention, the merging of their two families wasn't all that cohesive either."David has daughters of his own and there were issues with the families blending.
"Which is why it is so frustrating to see headlines questioning her chronic debilitating illness."In fact, he wants the world to know that he is always impressed by his ex's courage and her ability to stay strong after being diagnosed in 2012."I have been by Yolanda's side over the past four years to the best of my ability as she battled with the complexities of her Lyme diagnosis," he says. News that the combination of her illness and his busy work schedule chiseled away at their relationship."No one doubts that Yolanda is sick," the source shared.
