In the US I was very successful with men, but here it seems that though I have long dates that go on for hours with laughter, interesting conversation, and sometimes even a kiss, the men never want to see me again! The problem is that I never seem - at least in Britain - to be able to get past the first date! This piece was a little different to write for me, since being a guy, I didn't have the benefit of being able to draw on my firsthand experiences to inform my points (though you'll still see me interjecting a male perspective in parts).Instead I had to rely on my observations and research on what shy women go through. Do your battle cry and run into battle."Nothing ventured, nothing gained."I would say its pretty normal for a guy to be shy with a lady. like someone else said, you literally have nothing to lose..says no, at least you tried, so you won't be kicking yourself later, she says yes, you got a date.3.
It's actually the worst, I don't know why I wore it like this.
Others pointed out how shy women have their own struggles as well.
This article will talk about that, with more focus put on the issues that are unique to shy women.
Identify what you think are weaknesses, confront them, and just ask for honest opinions and see if they really so, then fix'em. But sometimes you just have to go for itand force your self. OP, My solution is to drink 12 beers (Guinness) before the date/approach..shyness and anxiety disappears... It is not an uncommon condition and can be improved withlots of practice. I don't like calling it a "pick up", it's more of an "opener".
Women can see that kind of thing in a man without even speaking to him. If you just have a confidence problem all together, that takes time to build. Also just living in the now, will help with the over-thinking. Best of luck OP, I know it `s easier said than done. Will see you are trying and make things easier for you. You will find on wikipedia a definition of what you have.
